more than 5,000 people in the east bay are without power after a driver crashed into a power pole. we'll tell you when pg&e plans or hopes to have the power back on here. it's been busy in san francisco. why a park police officer fired his weapon and the large crowd at north beach that has people calling 911. if you thought things were crowded in the city get ready for a repeat performance as hundreds of thousands get ready for football, festivals, and

fleet week. good morning, and welcome to mornings on 2 it's sunday, october 7th i'm claudine wong. >> and i'm eric rasmussen in for mike mibach. let's check in with meteorologist rosemary orozco. >> good morning to you. it will be another enjoyable day. we are waking up with a little bit of fog. low clouds. giving way to high clouds for the afternoon. temperatures will be very similar this afternoon. this morning we are waking up in the 40s and 50s once again. a chilly spot in some spot -- chilly start in some spots. tuesday into wednesday we may see that chance for rain. i'll bring you'll the latest rain models and temperatures for today coming up. we are on the scene of a breaking news out in hayward where more than 5,000 people are without power. it happened when a woman hit a

power pole. allie rasmus joining us live from the scene where people are waking up to power lines on their cars and in their yards. >> reporter: this is why there were 5,000 people are without power. you can see the 45-foot power pole sliced in half. that car white car right next to it that is the driver that crashed into it. knocking the power pole over. earlier this morning there were power lines still dangling from it off of people's roofs and homes. you can see pg&e workers have made good progress since they have gotten out here. they have lined up neatly all those power lines. now those pg&e workers are trying to figure out how they will go about cleaning up the mess. they have to of course order new power pole and restring everything. the crash happened at around 3:00 this morning. the female driver involved was taken to the hospital in a stretcher. we don't know her condition however. police tell us they are looking into the possibility that this driver may have been under the influence of something but they don't know that for sure yet. people in the neighborhood say the impact of the crash woke

them up. >> well i heard a thud before i was about just about five minutes before i was going to sleep. and then my computer started flickering and i didn't know why. i thought i was trying to do an update. and then the power went out all entirely. >> reporter: now here's a look at the neighborhood effected by the outage. this is east hayward south of bah lair row avenue. between lei oh la and miami avenue. again when we talked to pg&e a short time ago there were about 5,180 customers in this area without power. some are likely without any cable and phone this morning.

pg&e says its goal is to have at least the power back on by 8:30 this morning. live in hayward allie rasmus. new this morning a large brawl broke out in san francisco's north beach around 2:00 a.m. police and medics responded to reports of violence and people injured near the area of broadway anker knee. we don't know the extent of the injuries but police had to dispatch several units to control that crowd. san francisco police are also investigating a double shooting in the city's south of market district. two male victims were found in a car around 2:40 this morning near the area of third and mission streets. one person died at the scene while the other victim suffered nonleafletten injuries. u.s. park police officer shot at a car burglar who tried to run him down in the presidio in san francisco. the officer was patrolling a

section of lincoln boulevard when he noticed the suspect breaking into a parked car around 6:30 last night. the unidentified officer tried to stop him but the suspect jumped in his own vehicle and tried to run over him. the officer fired several shots at the suspect. it's unclear if he was wounded. >> the suspect was able to get back to his vehicle and try to run over our officer with that vehicle. we take the safety of our officers and of the visitors very seriously. >> a part of lincoln boulevard was closed for hours overnight as investigators processed the crime scene. san francisco police have joined the national park service in searching for the car burglar. a downtown protest ended with 22 people arrested just before 3:00 yesterday afternoon that group marched down market street when police arrived protestors threw flairs, bags of paint, and rocks at them. one officer was hit in the head but wasn't seriously hurt.

the group was arrested at california and battery streets. occupy protestors have returned to san jose city hall. they first set up an encampment in october but they left and now ten are back to observe the movements first anniversary. they say their protest is peaceful and meant to educate the public about their cause. we have more information about a story we first told you about yesterday here on mornings on 2. the woman killed in a crash on southbound 880 has been identified as 49-year-old palo alto resident charlotte sue seth faith. that is when police say her car was hit by a suspected drunk driver. she died at the scene. daly city police are investigating the accident that killed one six-year-old girl and two others with life threatening injuries. officers aren't sure why a mini van plowed into a group of pedestrians at a st. andrews church yesterday morning.

a six-year-old girl, her mother and another were taken to the hospital where the girl died. >> you know it could be somebody that we know's relative or something. i'm just shocked. >> prayers are with the family. sorry. >> both victims remain in the hospital. the driver of the mini van was distraught at the scene and was not arrested or cited. so far weekend of wall to wall events in san francisco has largely been a success. there will be more chances to get down like that. today is the final day of the hardly strictly bluegrass festival. big name acts include 'emmy lou harris and dwight owe. thousands of pep went to the marie -- thousands of people went to the marina district to watch fleet week. thousands gathered a the

shoreline for the america's cup races. >> look at this location. we have the golden gate bridge. we have the beautiful people. it doesn't get much better than this. >> city officials say the benefits of this weekend will last well into the future. the extra million people in the city of course are expected to visit again and again. more events are scheduled today the bluegrass festival begins at 11:00 a.m.. the fleet week starts at 3:00 p.m.. 49 everier -- 49ers are playing at candle stick park. if that wasn't enough there is another big event. the italian heritage parade begins at 12:30 in north beach. at least 150,000 people are expected to attend. some roads in the area will be closed to traffic. this includes powell, chestnut, and bay streets. from ground now to the sea

once again to parts of our north bay valley locations. we continue with this system offshore. you can see it here in the satellite radar. look at that spin. it really hasn't moved a whole lot. we don't expect it will from monday into tuesday as it does edge a little closer it will bring the possibility of a few scattered showers. today a little change in the forecast. some slightly warmer this morning. some slightly cooler with the clouds overhead in santa rosa. yesterday we had slipped back in the 40s. if you had been watching. here's our timeline into tuesday. that slight chance for some rain it looks like it will last into wednesday. this system will be moving along parallel to the coast as it progresses south and east. even a look at the forecast we will pick it upright about tuesday morning. we have scattered showers remaining off the coastline. we are a little cloudier. by tuesday night this wrap around moisture is what we begin to see. you can see it here over the north bay. again it doesn't look like a

president obama is fast becoming the billion dollar man. he and the democratic party have received donations from nearly four million people since the president announced his reelection campaign. mr. obama raised $181 million just last month. his reelection campaign has received about $947 million in donations. he will be the first candidate in u.s. history to have $1 billion campaign. the president will fly to los angeles this morning he will attend a concert with actor george clooney. they will announce the establishment of the caesar chavez monument. he will make his way to the bay area and head to san francisco for a fund raising concert. former president bill clinton is getting ready to head to california. on tuesday morning he is expected to attend a rally at uc davis to endorse four

democratic candidates including john gave men day of fairfield. will he head to los angeles to discuss the economy. there was comedy mixed with discourse last night. bill o'reilly went head to head with john stewart. their 90 minute debate was streamed live on the internet and topics include foreign policy, entitlements, and the economy. >> income redistribution. do you believe in it? >> do you? >> no. i asked first. >> how is this a two personality such as yourselves are polar opposites coming together when congress can't. what advise would you give congress? rumble in the air conditioned auditorium. proceeds went to charities. space x is scheduled to send another shipment to the international space station. it plans to launch its unmanned dragon cargo ship tomorrow night. however thick clouds are a big concern and forecasters say there is a 60% chance of rain. this could delay the launch. this will be the second space x mission to the space station. the prices at the pump went up again overnight at many bay area gas stations. right now gas prices are at an all-time high here in california at an average of $4.67 a gallon. that hike is being blamed on a southern california refinery which stopped producing on monday following a power outage. some people have reported paying more than $5 a gallon and that is forcing them to change their travel plans. >> making it harder for me to go distance. so i come here at most once a week. i can't come more often. it's very hard.

>> economists predict gas prices could begin to fall sometime next week. we can only hope. here's a look at some of the gas prices in our area. oakland and san francisco averaging $4.69 a gallon. san jose at $4.66 a gallon. los angeles $4.71. police are trying to figure out who stole more than 1,000 gallons of gas at a gas station. the suspect came back three times stealing around 300 gallons each time. security cameras caught the suspect but no arrests have been made. that gas was worth about $4500. >> might be seeing more of that. the gourds are coming. preparations under way for half- moon bay famous pumpkin rail. and community is coming around. how residents are responding and what her parents may now do. have you heard of the new dialing procedure

are hurt after a southern california commuter train crashed into a stalled semi. it happened in newhall. the truck was carrying cars and stalled out on the track and a metro train crashed into it. the driver was able to get out before it was hit. police use surveillance video to identify an arrest of a drunk driver that crash into a liquor store. watch at as the truck slams into the liquor store. there was a man behind the counter and he was hurt but others were able to jump out of the way. officers say that video helped them track down the suspect who has been identified as robert waynering. >> about two hours after the actual incident we found out we located he was under the influence and over the state influence for california. he was arrested. >> ring was arrested at his resees dense and charged with felony dui.

the parents of a ten-year- old girl in ohio are considering pressing charges against her neighbors who say bully her daughter. the girl has cerebral palsy and now the current is rallying behind her after a broadcast of a video that shows a neighbor and his son mocking her. >> her name is hope and family and friends have faith that kindness can go a long way to heal the hope. hope is like other ten-year-old girls and having cerebral palsy doesn't keep her from having fun. >> angry. >> reporter: that is how hope felt after this video aired on fox 8 news earlier this week. hopes parents that is their neighbor and his son mocking the way hope walks. >> just amazed at the mentality to make fun of my daughter that she has never done anything to deserve anything like that for him to make fun of her and then have a son do it too. >> reporter: the story has moved many in the star county community to support hope.

family and friends gathered at belasra restaurant for a pizza party for hope. owner wanted to do this after seeing the video. >> we saw what happened to her on the television and then we just said let's make somebody smile. so we did. that's for sure. >> reporter: a few days after or story aired bill bailey explained his actions says he wasn't trying to hurt hope. >> so when you go like this you are holding the ribs in for pressure. >> reporter: i'm not sure what to say to that. other than that was a horrible excuse for doing what he did. >> that was maria reporting from ohio. the video of the alleged bullying was shot by hope's grandmother after watching the video her parents felt it should be brought to the public's attention so their neighbors could be taught a lesson. support continues to build

we want to show you live pictures of developing news out of hayward you can see a mess on the street. thousands are without power this morning. because of that. and it may be hours before they get their lights back on. good morning, and welcome back to mornings on 2 i'm claudine wong. >> and i'm eric rasmussen in for mike mibach. ktvu were the only ones on scene during that pole down. allie rasmus is there live with a look at the response and repairs. >> reporter: pg&e spokeswoman told me they hoped to have the

power back on to everyone in the neighborhood. 5,000 people felt impacted by the outage. they hope to have the power back on by 8:30 this morning. you can see they have a lot of work ahead of them. this happened after that white car being towed right now. the driver crashed into that 45- foot power pole slicing it in half and tossing power lines into people's homes and yards. this happened around 3:00 this morning. initially when that power pole was knocked over, those were live wires that were thrown across the street. the wires aren't live anymore. they have turned the power off. and now pg&e and other utility workers are trying to figure out how they will put things back together. the female driver was taken to the hospital after this crash. but we don't know her condition exactly. but we can tell you 125 minutes ago someone came back to the car and the mother of the driver i spoke to her briefly off camera. she told me the driver has

minor injuries she is hurt but she will be okay. she would not explain what led up to the crash. but hayward police are look into the possibility that the driver may have been under the influence. the mom wouldn't tell me if the girl that came into the car to get her stuff was the driver or a sibling of the driver. we don't know that but the mom says the driver her daughter is going to be okay. several neighbors woke up this morning when they heard the crash and saw sparks flying from those live power lines. >> there was a huge loud pop. our roof is a gravel roof. i could hear the wires coming across them. it was a really loud noise on the roof that woke me up. you could see there was bright lights. like lightning. >> reporter: here's a look at the neighborhood effected by this outage. it's east hayward. between loyola and miami avenue. and areas along gadding road and harder road.

ing if e is out -- pg&e is out here and so is the cable companies and phone companies they will have to work together to restring all the wiring on this new power pole. pg&e spokesperson say 8:30 is the goal to have at least the power back on here. live in hayward allie rasmus. a peaceful neighborhood in hercules is on edge after a woman was killed in her own home. police say 50-year-old suzie ko suffered a traumatic injury to her head. her husband fought back tears while trying to make sense of what happened. he travels often and was constantly worried about her safety. he said he knew something was wrong when he failed to pick him up from the airport. >> it's hard to believe it was a random drop by. it's hard. because ours is a close neighborhood.

everybody knows each other. >> the couple was married for 34 years and had four children. their subaru suv was stolen. police have removed the front door of the house as evidence. there is more information about a deadly shooting we told you about yesterday on mornings on 2. the victim has been identified as 21-year-old rashard meredith of hayward. he was found inside a burning car. shots were fired at his car causing him to crash and his vehicle burst into flames. a nearby man was shot in the leg but he is expected to recover. police are investigating two deadly shootings that happened three blocks apart. the first happened around 8:20 friday night. police say the victim died at the scene. three blocks away and only a few hours later 24-year-old lonnie brown was fatally shot on assail yeah drive. both from east palo alto.

police say three plastic bolt les filled with a clear liquid and aluminum foil were found yesterday morning. the park and nearby homes were evacuated for three hours. the bottles were sent to the san mateo police forensic lab for testing. george zimmerman's father spoke out regarding a potential nbc lawsuit from george zimmerman. robert zimmerman appeared on the show last night and confirmed his brother will sue nbc over an edited version of his 911 call where he reported trayvon martin as a suspicion person. the edit call makes it sound like he volunteered information that martin was an african american. >> george never called and reported a black person. he does not volunteer that information. somebody asked him to describe someone. but the way things were edited by nbc and others made it sound

otherwise. >> two employees at nbc today show was fired as a result of that edited clip. he is accused of shooting and killing trayvon martin. thousands of people will pack the san francisco waterfront to see some amazing sailing today. it is the final day of the san francisco stop on the america's cup world series. competitors include yachts and teams from the u.s., china, korea, new zealand, and sweden. the america's world cup includes four events. it is designed to broaden interest leading up to the big america's cup races next year. and the dangers of races began apparent yesterday when they saw one of the oracle yachts crash and then it flipped on over. they did not finish that race but the team came back and won second place in the following race. cameras on board got incredible pictures of the crash and the crew desperately trying to hold

barbecue, and chalk art. merchants are hurt by loitering. tomorrow is columbus day but not everyone will be celebrating the so-called discovery of america. the united native americans will march in san francisco in protest of the nation's holiday. it's called the indigenous day of resistance. the march will begin on jefferson and stockton streets. the march begins at 10:00 a.m.. and just a quick reminder county offices and post offices will be closed across the bay area in observance of the holiday. some city offices will also be closed. education and union supporters. >> and we could tell you they are joining forces to protect california families. >> is about us having enough resources in order to have a nice good quality of life. >> the two groups held a rally yesterday in oakland. they encouraged voters to back

proposition 30. it increases the sales tax and income tax of high earners to raise money for education. >> kids went to this school here. graduated with the uc berkeley. if it had not been for funds of the state the school would not have been able to offer what it is. >> the rally also included opponents of proposition 32 which would restrict the amount of money unions can contribute to political campaigns. new iphone five users are experiencing camera problems and apple is finally addressing the issue. but the only catch apple says that problem is normal. users are reporting a purple flair or bright spot that appears on their images from out of view bright light sources. apple says most of all cameras can experience a discoloration. they recommend moving the camera away from a light source or shielding the lens with your hand. a ribbon cutting ceremony is being held this afternoon

view. this system remains off the coast. hasn't moved a whole lot in the last 24 hours and isn't expected to do so in the next 24 hours. we continue with mild conditions, cool along the coast. we are seeing fog this morning. pacifica and half-moon bay. parts of the coast along santa cruz. meanwhile inland it has crossed over the bay. areas near oakland seeing a partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies. there is the circulation. it will begin to migrate toward the coast. when it does it will bring us that slight chance for a few sprinkles. today a little change. here is the track we are expecting this system to take. by monday night into tuesday a little bit closer to the coast. near monterey. as it moves southeast it will hug the coastline and cross over southern california by thursday. so that slight chance we're talking slim will be for our area tuesday and wednesday. outside our door at this hour 45 degrees in napa. 52 in santa rosa. 54 san francisco.

more protestors plan to rally in oakland tonight. they will launch a protest called mission failure. the rally starts at 6:00 p.m.. it's the fifth day in a row that fire has been exchanged over the border of turkey and syria and leon panetta says it's something to be concerned about. the clashes could escalate and spread to neighboring countries. the u.s. is relaying concerns about the continuing fire between the two countries. five turkish civilians were killed on wednesday. tensions could escalate between north and south korea. south korea announced the u.s. will allow seoul to develop longer range missiles that could strike all of north korea. in 2001 the u.s. persuaded seoul to ban missiles with a payload of more than 100 pounds. it's believed that north korea has rockets that can reach south korea, japan, and the

u.s. territory of guam. american airlines is experiencing more problems with its planes. a flight made an emergency landing in los angeles yesterday morning when the crew found a problem with the wing flap which helps control the speed of the plane. the plane landed safely. 162 people were on board the bows 737 and finished their flight on a plane from orange county. and now the company is saying gun from spilled drinks and other multiple contributing factors are to blame for the issue. the company is solving the problem by installing mechanical ties to cope the seats in place. now nearly 100 flights were canceled thursday and friday because of the safety problem. authorities report a massive increase in the number of brazen laser attacks on planes in the use. the fbi says lasers are being pointed at pilots which can cause them to be temporary

on the progress of crews trying to turn back on the lights. what is the latest? >> reporter: pg&e has made a lot of progress this morning. the latest update is now there only 111 customers in this neighborhood still without power after this accident happened. earlier this morning there were 5,000 customers without power in this east bay hayward neighborhood. after a driver hit that 45-foot power pole that you see completely knocked in two and on its side in the middle of the street. it happened around 3:00 this morning. the power pole was sliced in half and live power lines were tossed into the street and across people's homes and yards. some neighbors woke up when they saw the flash of the live power lines. >> there were loud pops initially. the light was so bright it woke me up through the blinds in the window. i was asleep inside. >> reporter: now the driver was taken to the hospital after the crash. it appears she is okay. about 45 minutes ago she and her mom came back to the car before it was towed away to

collect some of her stuff inside. now the mother told me off camera her daughter had minor injuries but is going to be okay. she wouldn't say anything about how the crash happened. but police told us earlier they are looking into the possibility the driver may have been under the influence. right now you can see back out here live you can see pg&e crew, pg&e work truck out in the middle of the street. they have cleared away or neatly put some of the lines right in the middle of the street. they have made some progress in cleaning up the mess. again 111 customers still without power. that is a big improvement from the 5,000 customers this morning that are in the dark after the crash happened. live in hayward i'm allie rasmus. new this morning a large brawl broke out in san francisco's north beach around 2:00 a.m. police and medics responded to reports of violence and people injured near the area of broadway and kerr knee. when officers arrived they found an altercation involving 20 people. police had to dispatch several

units to control that crowd. san francisco police are also investigating a double shooting in the city south of market district. two male victims were found in a car. one person died at the scene while the other person suffered nonlife threaten injuries. the shooter fled if a silver toyota rav 4 with possible front end damage. a police officer shot at a car burglar that tried to run him down. the officer was patrolling a section of lincoln boulevard when he noticed the suspect breaking into a parked car around 6:30 last night. the unidentified overstoried to stop him but police say the suspect jumped into his own vehicle and tried to run the officer over and that is when the officer fired several shots. it's still unclear if the suspect was hurt. >> the suspect was then able to get back to his vehicle and try to run over our officer with that vehicle. we take the safety of our officers and of the visitors

very seriously. >> a part of lincoln boulevard was closed for hours overnight as they processed that crime scene. san francisco police have joined in to search for that burglar. occupy protest in downtown san francisco ended with 22 people arrested. just before 3:00 yesterday afternoon the group marched down market street. when police arrived protestors threw flairs, bags of paint, and rocks at them. one officer was hit in the head but was not seriously hurt. members of the group was arrested. occupy protestors have returned to san jose city hall. they first set up an encampment last october but eventually left. but now about 10 protestors are back to observe the movement's first anniversary. demonstrators say their protest is peaceful and meant to educate the public about their cause. daly city police are still investigating the accident that killed one six-year-old girl and left two other people with

we are following breaking news for you near the sunol grade. you are taking a look add live picture. right now a cig alert is in effect. it was just called by the chp for one of the northbound lanes in that area. the number three lane will be shut down for a little bit. about 45 minutes ago a vehicle apparently drove off the road in the area of northbound sunol boulevard off ramp and about 50 feet down the embankment over on the right shoulder. and according to the chp the driver of the car is dead. the cars bumper is in one of the lanes. again a cig alert now in effect for northbound 680 as they shut down the number three lane.

effect. we can tell you 45 minutes ago a vehicle drove off the road in the area of the northbound sunol boulevard off ramp. according to chp the driver of the car is dead. the car's bumper at one point was in one of the lanes. number three lane could be closed down for a few hours as they wait on a 50-foot cable to get the car out of that area. and we're following developing news as we said out of hayward where thousands of people were left without power. it's all because of an accident that left power lines on people's cars and in their yards. allie rasmus is there with a live look at the response and the repairs. >> reporter: we just got another update from pg&e a short time ago. there are 111 customers still without power. which is a big improvement from the 5,000 customers in this neighborhood and hayward that didn't have power overnight. it's all because of an accident that happened here. a driver crashed into what was

a 45-foot power pole. now the bad news for the people in this area is that they will probably be without power the entire day. pg&e now estimates it's going to take until 9:30 tonight to replace this power pole. you can see workers here a short tame eke they were completely disassembling it so they can take it away. it came crashing down after a driver slammed into it. it happened around 3:00 this morning. the power pole was sliced in half and power lines were toss into the street and across people's homes and yards. some neighbors woke up when they saw the live power lines flashing and sparking. >> there was a huge loud pop. our roof is a gravel roof and i can hear the wires coming across them. and so this is a really loud noise on the roof that woke me up. you can see bright lights like lightning. >> reporter: now the driver was taken to the hospital after this crash but it appears she is okay. about 45 minutes ago she and

her mom came back to the car before it was towed to collect some of her stuff. and the mother told me her daughter had minor injuries but will be okay. the mom wouldn't say anything about how the crash happened. but police told us earlier they are looking into the possibility the driver may have been under the influence. that is all part of the investigation still into this crash. but right now pg&e crews are in the process of cleaning up this mess. you can see one of the trucks out here in the middle of the street. the power lines on people's homes and in people's yards have been neatly strung across the pavement here. you can sigh they have barricades to make sure no crosses or walks or drives over them. again pg&e needs to completely replace the power pole with a new one and that is going to take awhile. the latest estimate from pg&e is that 9:30:00 p.m. is when the power will be back on for those remaining 111 customers without power. and we should also mention those customers may also be without cable and phone access as well this was a joint power

right here on mornings on 2. the woman killed on southbound 880 in fremont has been identified as 49-year-old palo alto resident charlotte. she was driving in the slow lane when she lost control of her car and hit the center divide. that is when her car was hit by a suspected drunk driver. she died at the scene. a peaceful neighborhood in hercules is on edge after a woman was killed in her home. 50-year-old suzie ko suffered a traumatic injury to her head. her husband fought back tears while trying to make six of what happened. he said he traveled often and always worried about her safety. >> it's hard to believe that somebody just random. it's hard. because ours is a close neighborhood. everybody knows each other. >> the couple was married for

34 years and had four children. their subaru suv was also stolen. police have removed the front door of that house as evidence. there is more information about a deadly shooting we told you about yesterday on mornings on 2. the victim has been identified as 21-year-old rashard meredith of hayward. he was found inside of a burning car in east oakland on friday night. shots were fired at his car causing him to crash into a parked car and his vehicle burst into flames. another man was shot in the leg but he is expected to reeker. police are investigating two deadly shootings that happened three blocks apart. the first happened on tara villa street. the victim 21-year-old christopher baker died at the scene. a few blocks away lonnie brown was fatally shot on azalia drive. both are from east palo alto. san mateo neighborhood has been given the all clear after discovery of home made explosives at casanova park.

three plastic bottles were found yesterday morning. the park and a dozen homes nearby were evacuated for nearly five hours. hazmat crew and bomb squad cleared the area by 2:30. the bottles were sent to the san mateo police forensic lab for testing. today marks the 11th anniversary of the war in afghanistan. it has become the longest war in u.s. history. more than 3,000 international coalition troops have died including 2,000 americans. while the ongoing war has stirred up tensions between the u.s. and afghanistan, defense secretary leon panetta says afghan president karzai should be grateful the u.s. continues to safeguard the country. >> i think it would be helpful if the president every once in awhile expressed his thanks for the sacrifices that have been made by nose who have fought and died for afghanistan. rather than criticizing. >> coalition troops are scheduled to leave afghanistan by the end of 2014. afghanistan is threatening to
